My sister Heather is setting an excellent example and has 'inserted' heathly habits into her day-to-day routine and is in better shape than she has been in years - way to go Heather! Care to share a tip? I've added you as publisher just in case *GRINS*. Sue :D

I've made big changes with small changes. I started playing soccer in a one-hour clinic, once a week last spring. I had so much fun I joined a team and have been playing ever since. I even joined an ultimate frisbee team with my daughter last summer.
Was I ever huffing and puffing to start off, but it was amazing how quickly my fitness level improved.
I've lost 27 pounds so far and I feel great. My back hurts less and I have more energy and bounce in my step.
I went back to the gym this January and discovered how much improvement in strength and endurance I've actually gained. The elliptical, on which I barely lasted three minutes a year ago, is no longer a machine of torture. After 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the bike, I thought I'd give it a shot to finish off. After 20 minutes -- no trouble -- I hit the showers.
Try it, you'll like it!
By the way, the clinic runs Tuesday mornings at Durham Indoor Soccer Centre in Oshawa. It's for beginners to intermediates and some ladies have never kicked a ball before.
This summer, I'm playing on two soccer teams and an ultimate frisbee team. I've got another 35 pounds to lose.
I'm a 47-year-old mother of five and I've never felt better.
